43 <br /> <br /> Upon the recommendation ct the County Engineer, Mr. Larson moved <br />and Mrs. Stanton seconded to approve payment of 1988 Pothole and <br />Streeb Repair' Funds to the City of Fargo in the amount of <br />$252,465.00. On roll call vote, the motzon carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Regarding a request by the City of Briarwood to encumber their <br />1988 Pothole and Street Repalr Funds, Mrs. Stanton moved and <br />Mr. Larson seconded that the County Auditor be authorized to advise <br />the City of Briarwood to complete the proper forms and the County <br />will advance them the funds for' 1987 and 1988, which they may <br />encumber to be used at a future date. On roll call vote, the motlon <br />oat'tied unanimously. <br /> <br /> Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the County <br />Engineer' be authorized to accept the informal bid of Hall GMC in the <br />amount of $14,700.00 for a suburban for the Road Department. On roll <br />call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Larson seconded to receive and file a <br />letter from Northern Improvement Company regarding a proposal for <br />paving County Road 31 north of Fargo, and investigate how the County <br />could proceed. Motion carried. A copy will be provided to the <br />County Engineer, Don Richards. Chalrman Eokert appointed a committee <br />consisting of himself, Don Richards, A1Wieland and someone residlng <br />in the area to look into this. <br /> <br /> Fred Anderson, President of the Red River Valley Fair <br />Association, appeared before the Board regarding their annual report; <br />and he also introduced the newly appointed Red River Valley Fair <br />Manager, Jennifer Johnson Seltzer. <br /> <br /> Mr. Larson asked about an update on the southside sewer project, <br />and the Chairman asked that the matter be placed on the agenda two <br />weeks from today, since he will be absent from the Commission meeting <br />next week. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. SondralZ seconded to receive a check <br />from the State Attorney General's Office in the amount of $936.92 for <br />the County's semi-annual payment from State gaming taxes, and to <br />refer the check to the Sheriff's Office to be used for enforcement of <br />the State's gaming laws. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> County Auditor Ordelle 8rua updated the Commission on the health <br />insurance fund. Mrs. Stanton requested a monthly report. Diana <br />Muraok presented copies of a report from Blue Cross-Blue Shield <br />containing information requested by Commissioner Larson. <br /> <br /> Notification was received from the Cass County Township <br />Officers' Association that William Thompson of Page was appointed to <br />replace Leslie Roach as the township representative on the road <br />planning committee. <br /> <br /> A letter was received from the Enderlin Area <br />thanklng the County for their financial support. <br /> <br />Rescue Squad <br /> <br /> <br />
