Larson moved and <br />Mrs. Stanton seconded to offer $4,650.00 to the widow of former <br />County Surveyor Frank Richard, for the purchase of the piat book <br />business incIuding survey records and fiiing cabinets~ subject to <br />obtaining the copyright reiease through the States Attorney's <br />Office. On roii oaii vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Administrative Assistant Diana Murack received a letter from <br />Mark Thelen, City of Fargo Director of Finance, requesting copies of <br />documents relating to the tax increment error. She suggested <br />forwarding the letter to the States Attorney and allow him to <br />respond to it. Mn. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the <br />letter from Mark Thelen be referred to the States Attorney <br />requesting him to forward the information requested by Mr. Thelen. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to receive and file <br />the Officer's Reports for January, 1988. <br /> <br /> County Auditor Ordelle Brua provided copies of <br />1987 year-end balances for all funds. <br /> <br />the County's <br /> <br /> Ordelle Brua requested permission for personnel changes in her <br />department due to the resignation of Janice Becket, part-time <br />employee, and due to the resignation of Blythe Parrott, full-time <br />employee, effective February 29, 1988. Upon the recommendation of <br />Mrs. 8rua, Mr. Nieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that a <br />temporary employee in the Auditor's Office, Jo Winefeldt, be hired <br />to replace 81ythe Parrott in Pay Grade 5 at a salary of $1,025.00 <br />per month, effective March 1, 1988~ and to advertise through North <br />Dakota Job Services for a full-time 8ookkeeping Clerk in Pay Grade 5 <br />at a salary of $900-$1,000 per month. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. Diana Muraok reminded the County Auditor that <br />the County's Personnel Assistant should be consulted in placing the <br />advertisememt. <br /> <br /> The Chairman received a copy of a letter from the Red River <br />Valley Fair Association addressed to Ken MoIntyre, <br />Secretary-lreasurer of the Cass County Historical Society, stating <br />that the Fair Association is also of the opinion that the Historical <br />Society should develop a Master Plan for the future of 8onanzaville <br />Village before acquiring additional land at the fairgrounds. <br /> <br /> A letter was received from City of Fargo Judge Thomas A. <br />Davies commending the Cass County Sheriff's Office, Civil Division, <br />particularly Sgt. Michael P. Kelly, for the outstanding service in <br />civil executions. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to <br />receive and file the letter and submit a copy to Sheriff Rudnick to <br />be included in Michael Kelly's personnel file.
