Alternatives regarding the parking problems for Cass County were addressed. It was <br />moved by Mr. Wieland and seconded by Mr. Eckert to authorize Diana Murack to send a letter <br />to all Cass County Department Heads requesting they inform all employees of the following <br />parking rules effective February 15, 1988: <br /> <br /> 1. All employees must obtain or update the parking permit/sticker from the Sheriffs <br />Department; <br /> <br /> 2. All employees are to park in the lot available across the street located north of <br />and next to the Detention Center, except those with prior assigned parking space; and <br /> <br /> 3. lhere is to be no parking by employees in the areas designated for public parking <br />and the first and second violation will be in the form of a warning and the third violation <br />will result in the towing of said vehicle at the owner's expense. <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br /> After extensive discussion and review of the matter, it was moved by Mr. Larson and <br />seconded by Mr. Wieland to deny the Application for Abatement and Settlement of Taxes for <br />1986 by Riverview Place, Inc. Upon roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Larson, seconded by Mr. Wieland and unanimously carried to adopt <br />the liquor license application format proposed by the Cass County Sheriffs Department, with <br />the change of location of such permits from Administrative Assistant to the office of the <br />Cass County Auditor, effective immediately. <br /> <br /> Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded the Raffle Permit to the Sheyenne Red River <br />High School Rodeo Club on April 23 and 24, 1988, at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds be <br />approved. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Wieland and seconded by Mr. Sondrall to hire Earl Haugen as a <br />temporary Planner for Cass County at a salary of $9 an hour and that he be allowed to work a <br />maximum 40 hour week until a full time Planner is hired. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> A report regarding the fulfilling of A-128 Audit Guidelines for the North Dakota Office <br />of Management and Budget was referred to Diana Murack. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Wieland and seconded by Mr. Sondrall, the meeting was declared <br />recessed for the purpose of holding a Cass County Building Authority meeting. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />RECESSED MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />JANUARY 26, 1988 <br /> <br /> After the conclusion of the Cass County Building Authority meeting, the Commissioners <br />reviewed matters pending until next week. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to be considered by the Board, it was moved by Mr. <br />Larson, seconded by Mr. Sondrall and unanimously carried to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Ordelle Brua - County Auditor <br />Cass County, North Dakota <br /> <br />APPROVED: <br /> <br />Don ~ckert, Chairman <br />Cass County Board of Commissioners <br /> <br /> <br />
