1'4 <br /> <br /> Don Richards, Cass County Engineer, distributed maps to the Commissioners which show <br />all work done since the 10 mill levy went into effect in 1985. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Wieland, seconded by Mr. Sondrall and unanimously carried to <br />approve the program that was presented at the Committee meeting concerning the Cass County <br />Road Department for 1988. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. £ckert and seconded by Mr. Sondrall to authorize Don Richards, Cass <br />County Engineer to hire someone through the Salary Review Committee in accordance with the <br />job description of Engineer II for the Cass County Road Department. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. Mr. Richards stated this position would include engineering and <br />accounting areas. <br /> <br /> The issue of including the Fair Association under the Cass County Health Insurance <br />Policy was discussed. The Board directed Diana Murack, Administrative Assistant, to contact <br />Blue Cross-Blue Shield regarding the costs to do so and to work on a new proposal for this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Keith Monson, Harwood Township Board, requested the County cost-share on costs incurred <br />to replace a culvert between Sections 30 and 31 in Harwood Township. Mr. Wieland stated he <br />would drive out and inspect the area and suggested the Board consider acting on this matter <br />at the next meeting. Mr. Larson stated he feels some type of policy should be set up <br />regarding matters such as this. Don Eckert plans to work on this matter with Don Richards. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Wieland, seconded by Mr. Larson and unanimously carried to hold a <br />public hearing on Wednesday, March 2, 1988, at 7:00 o'clock p.m. in the lower level of the <br />Detention Center regarding the incorporation petition for Round Hill, ND. <br /> <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve the installation of various <br />vending machines in the employee lounge as recommended by Diana Murack, Administrative <br />Assistant, and that Ms. Murack prepare a report regarding money taken in from these machines <br />in two months. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> The joint meeting of Cass County and the City of Fargo scheduled for February 9, 1988, <br />was briefly discussed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Sondrall, seconded by Mr. Larson and unanimously carried to <br />authorize the Chairman to sign an Agreement which would allow Diana Murack, Administrative <br />Assistant, to work for the South Central Regional Council and Barnes County two days per <br />month to help them on an information systems analysis and a finance and operations analysis <br />and that said Agreement stipulate they reimburse Cass County for Ms. Murack's salary and <br />expenses for such time. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Sondrall, seconded by Mr. Eckert and unanimously carried to approve <br />a change in the wording under the accidental dental coverage on the Blue Cross-Blue Shield <br />contract to read...providing the initial service is received within 24 months of the date of <br />injury...,this change affecting the wording in the Master Contract. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Larson, seconded by Mr. Sondrall and unanimously carried to <br />authorize Chairman Eckert to sign a letter drawn up by Mr. Wieland to the City of Fargo <br />stating the Commission favors the idea of a Joint Law Enforcement Center. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Larson, seconded by Mr. Eckert and unanimously carried to receive <br />and file the Officer's reports for December, 1987. <br /> <br /> <br />
