Fargo" NO 58078 <br /> <br />RE, Cass County Roads <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Berndt <br /> <br />This letter is regarding the City of Davenport's support roc the paving of Cass County 16 from the City of <br />Davenport to State Highway 18. <br /> <br />This would provide a good coad for the city officials to gel: to Casseltoo. where the city does it's banking <br />and other business. The fire deparbnent covers that side of the county almost to Durbin, so the paving of <br />this road would really help there. <br /> <br />The Kindred school system buses use that road to pick up children to bring to Davenport and Kindred for <br />school. In the spring and filII when it is raining or dl.lTing spring thawing !hat road is awful. <br /> <br />The businesses and chwchcs in the Davenport art'.a would benefit from the paving of this road because the <br />residents from west of Davenport would patronize the city instead of going directly to Casselton OJ(" Fargo. <br />With more traffic passing along side of Davenport, the City would prob1bly be able to have some <br />economic growth. Although it would give those residents that live west of Davenport a link to 129 and the <br />businesses in south Fargo. <br /> <br />This would also provide the residents of Davenport, Kindred, and LeonlU'd with a good road to get to the <br />western end of the county where many people have relatives and supp<Jrt the churches. <br /> <br />For these reasons the officials of the City Qf Davenport are in mvor of the paving of Cass COWlty #16 <br />from State Highway #18 to Davenport. <br /> <br />'!be City would also like to see County Road #27 fium State Highway 46 to Davenport paved for the same <br />""""",. <br /> <br />&::J ~~ <br /> <br />Beverly Dawson, <fooitoc <br />For the City of Davenport <br />
