<br />Commission Minutes--October 3, 2005 2987 <br /> <br />Since the county commission adopted an ordinance to facilitate the construction and <br />financing of the vector control building, Mr. Vanyo asked if there are consequences to <br />approving the change orders since the project was approved not to exceed $1,000,000. <br />Mr. Montplaisir said there would be money left in the project contingency fund after paying <br />the change orders. Mr. Jenni said the architect typically does not charge a fee on change <br />orders, as will be the case in this instance. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Bennett moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve Change Order <br />E-2 and M-1 on the Vector Control building contract in the amounts of <br />$14,747 and $15,062 respectively. Discussion: Mr. Pawluk inquired <br />about the possibility of any future change orders before the building is <br />completed, and Mr. Berndt said he is cautiously optimistic that no other <br />changes will be needed. At the call for the question and on roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />15. TAX-FORFEITED PROPERTY, Appraisals <br />Mr. Montplaisir provided a list of real estate forfeited to Cass County for delinquent taxes, <br />pursuant to North Dakota Century Code Chapter 57-28. The list shows the minimum sales <br />price as recommended by the county auditor and the director of tax equalization. The <br />auditor's office will send a letter to city auditors and township clerks where the property is <br />located, informing them of the minimum sales price and date of the public hearing. The <br />annual tax sale will be held in the auditor's office at 10:00 AM on November 15, 2005. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to set the minimum sales <br />price on tax-forfeited property according to the list provided by the <br />county auditor and the county director of tax equalization. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />16. VOUCHERS, Approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve Voucher No. <br />201,128 through Voucher No. 201,701. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />17. MEETING UPDATES; BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS REPORT; ORDINANCE <br />SUBDIVISION REVIEW, Committee reports <br />Commissioners and staff reported on meetings they have attended in the past two weeks, <br />as well as upcoming meetings. <br /> <br />Bonnie Johnson, County Coordinator, reported a remodeling project is underway in the <br />Annex basement public restrooms. <br /> <br />Mr. Pawluk said the subdivision ordinance review subcommittee has held numerous <br />meetings and now has recommendations to present to the various entities involved. He <br />made a suggestion to discuss the topic at the annual fall meeting of the Cass County <br />Township Officers' Association. <br />
