Commission Minutes--August 18, 2003 2643 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS AUGUST 18, 2003 1. MEETING TO ORDER Chairman Scott Wagner called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with four members present as follows: John Meyer, Robyn Sorum, Vern Bennett and Scott Wagner. Darrell Vanyo was absent. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Scott Wagner led the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded that the minutes of the last regular meeting held August 4, 2003, and the minutes of the budget meetings held August 11, 12, 13 and 14, 2003, be approved as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the addition of a Sheriff's Department traffic safety contract. Motion carried. 5. WEED CUTTING NOTICE, Authorize publication MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to authorize the publication of the annual notice for weed cutting. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 6. BEER & LIQUOR LICENSE, Approved for Jack Nick, LLC at Hickson MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to approve a county beer and liquor license for Jack Nick, LLC at the Knickerbocker Liquor Locker in Hickson, North Dakota, for the period of August 25-December 31, 2003, and to approve the application for Sunday alcoholic beverage permit for the same; subject to approval by the County Sheriff, the State's Attorney and the Pleasant Township Board of Supervisors. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 7. LOST INSTRUMENT BOND, Received and filed for Carol Kirchoff MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to receive and file the Indemnity Bond on Lost Instrument for Carol Kirchoff, and authorize the county treasurer and the county auditor to issue a duplicate check. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
