<br />Commission Minutes-September 19, 2005 2977 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />SEPTEMBER 19, 2005 <br /> <br />1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br />Vice Chairman Vern Bennett called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with members present <br />as follows: Scott Wagner, Vern Bennett, Ken Pawluk, Robyn Sorum and Darrell Vanyo <br />via speaker phone. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Robyn Sorum led the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Wagner seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Pawluk seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda with the addition of four contracts under contract approval on the <br />consent agenda. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. AUDITOR'S OFFICE, Receive monthlv financial statement <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to receive a monthly <br />financial statement from the auditor's office for the month ending August <br />31, 2005. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, Approved for Dauahters of the Earth <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve a raffle permit for <br />Daughters of the Earth to hold a raffle on October 1, 2005 at <br />Bonanzaville, U.S.A. in West Fargo, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. CONTRACT APPROVAL, Juvenile Accountabilitv Block Grant; James A. Rowenhorst; <br />Comstock Construction; Robert Gibb & Sons; Dakota Electric Construction <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the following <br />contracts submitted by the respective department heads, subject to <br />state's attorney approval, and authorize the chairman to sign: On roll <br />call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Juvenile Accountability Block Grant (JABG) program-certification of award <br />for Cass County Juvenile Crime Enforcement Coalition for Federal FY 2005; <br />Professional Services Agreement-Jail Consultant, James A. Rowenhorst; <br />Cass County jail expansion-Comstock Construction, Inc., general <br />contractor; Robert Gibb & Sons, Inc., mechanical contractor; and Dakota <br />Electric Construction, Co., Inc., electrical contractor. <br />
