<br />Commission Minutes--August 4, 2003 2626 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AUGUST 4, 2003 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Scott Wagner called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: John Meyer, Robyn Sorum, Darrell Vanyo, Vern Bennett and Scott Wagner. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />The chairman asked Michael Montplaisir to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. QUIT CLAIM DEED, Authorize chairman and auditor to sian for Cora M. Ridder <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Bennett moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to authorize the chairman <br />and the county auditor to sign a quit claim deed to Cora M. Ridder for <br />property in Casselton, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />6. RESOLUTION #2003-8, Multi-Jurisdiction. Multi-Hazard Mitiaation Plan adopted <br />Greg McDonald, Emergency Manager, was present to discuss the Multi-Jurisdiction Multi- <br />Hazard Mitigation Plan. The plan is attached to pre- and post-disaster funding and <br />addresses twelve hazards as outlined in the following resolution. He said North Dakota <br />State University helped to gather information on critical infrastructures, which will help <br />prioritize projects and build a benefit cost analysis. The plan has been introduced to all <br />incorporated cities in Cass County and 27 public hearings have been held in each city. He <br />said planning teams exist within each city. <br /> <br />The chairman opened the public hearing for comments and hearing none, closed the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to adopt the Multi- <br />Jurisdiction, Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan by use of the recommended <br />Resolution #2003-8, pending Cass County State's Attorney review. On <br />roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />
