Commission Minutes--July 21,2003 2620 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS JULY 21,2003 1. MEETING TO ORDER Chairman Scott Wagner called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: John Meyer, Robyn Sorum, Darrell Vanyo and Scott Wagner. Vern Bennett was absent. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The chairman asked John Meyer to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting of July 7, 2003 be approved as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the following changes: 1) remove omitted assessment item for Timothy Berntson of Buffalo; and 2) add emergency declaration for damages to electrical lines and equipment due to high winds and thunderstorm systems on June 24th and 25th. Motion carried. 5. OMITTED ASSESSMENTS, Approved MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to add Auditor's Lot 2 of NW% 8- 139-55 in Hill Township, as omitted property for 2003 in the amount of $20,000 residential structures, according to notice sent from the county auditor to Chris & Shawn Erickson, Tower City, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to add a 10 acre tract of NW% 1-143-50 in Kinyon Township as omitted property for 2003 in the amount of $39,700 total valuation (7-month assessment), according to notice sent from the county auditor to Richard & Marsha Middagl:l, Grandin, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to add part of 1-138-54 north of the railroad right-of-way in Eldred Township as omitted property for 2003 in the amount of $68,000 residential structures, according to notice sent from the county auditor to Rodney Beilke, Buffalo, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to add SW% 30-138-53 in Walburg Township as omitted property for 2003 in the amount of $45,000 residential structures, according to notice sent from the county auditor to Clark Zick, Alice, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
