All of the precincts will have <br />close to 1,000 voters in the presidential election. <br /> <br />District 13 doesn't have any precincts that <br />could be combined. Precinct 13-05 will grow <br />substantually in voter numbers due to the <br />number of new homes added in Charleswood. <br /> <br />Based on the number of voters, we could combine <br />all of District 20 into one precinct, however the <br />travel distances would get to be excessive. <br />Combining of 20-02, 03, and 04 could be done <br />if the affected parties agreed. The polling location <br />could either be at the school on Highway 26 or at <br />the City of Gardner. Another alternative would be <br />to just combine 20-03 and 04 into Gardner. <br /> <br />Precincts 21-02 and 21-05 are both small precincts <br />and probably should be combined. Parking at the <br />High Rise is a problem, but we may be able to <br />get some reserved spots for voters. If we move the <br />combined precinct to the library, it would be difficult <br />for the High Rise voters to get to the library. <br /> <br />22-01 is a very small precinct in terms of number <br />of voters, however it co-locates with 20-01 and <br />could use the same set of election equipment. <br /> <br />22-02 and 22-05 are both precicnts with small <br />voter numbers and do not appear to be growing <br />quickly, These two precincts could be combined <br />with the polling place in either Arthur or Amenia. <br /> <br />22-03 and 22-04 are both precicnts with small <br />voter numbers and do not appear to be growing <br />quickly, These two precincts could be combined <br />with the polling place in either Tower City or Buffalo. <br /> <br />22-09 is a small but necessary precinct due to <br />the legislative boundaries. A suggestion would <br />be to co-locate it with one of the District 13 precincts <br />to allow it to share the same set of equipment. I <br /> <br />22-10 and 22-11 could be combined based on <br />the number of voters, however the travel distance <br />might be more than what would acceptable. <br /> <br />22-12 and 22-13 could be combined at either <br />Davenport or Kindred. <br /> <br />Districts 27, 41, and 44 all have fairly high <br />voter numbers in each precinct. <br /> <br />In District 45 we could co-locate 45-05 with another <br />precinct to allow them to use the same set of <br />equipment. 45-02 is a very difficult precinct, in <br />presidential elections we will have a very high <br />tournout, in other elections tournout will be very <br />Iow. <br /> <br />District 46 has fairly high voter numbers in <br />each precinct. <br /> <br />Note that some adjustments in precinct lines <br />will De necessary because of city annexations. <br /> <br />Total 17,905 42,680 <br /> <br /> <br />
