<br />Commission Minutes--September 6, 2005 2973 <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to add part of Lot 5 Block 42, <br />Northern Pacific Addition to the City of Fargo, as omitted property for <br />2005 in the amount of $5,400, according to notice sent from the county <br />auditor to Paula Rae Homes & Gardens, Fargo, North Dakota. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />8. LOST INSTRUMENT BOND, Received and filed for Bertha Anderson <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to receive and file the <br />Indemnity Bond on Lost Instrument for Bertha Anderson; and authorize <br />the county treasurer and county auditor to issue a duplicate check. On <br />roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />9. COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL, Amend Section 4.00, Advisory Boards <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to amend Commission <br />Policy Manual Section 4.00, Advisory Boards, with the appointment of <br />Randy Moen to the School Reorganization Committee from Commission <br />District #5 to fill a vacancy for a term ending December 31, 2007; and the <br />appointment of Keith Gohdes to the Mapleton City Planning and Zoning <br />Commission from the extra-territorial area to fill a vacancy for a term <br />ending July 1, 2008. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />10. SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Federal arant application for ballistic vest replacements <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to authorize Glenn <br />Ellingsberg, Sheriff's Department, to proceed with the electronic <br />application for the 2005 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance <br />Grant on behalf of Cass County and all subsequent electronic filings <br />which may be required during the grant period. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />11. CONTRACT APPROVAL, Drua Task Force arant funds <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the following <br />grant award, submitted by respective department head, subject to state's <br />attorney approval: Drug Task Force grant funds accepting the 2005 <br />Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance grant award in the amount of <br />$141,716; and authorize the chairman to sign the award documents. On <br />roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />12. RESOLUTION #2005-15, Elm River snaaaina and clearina proiect <br />Michael Buringrud, Chairman of the North Cass Water Resource District, and Robert <br />Thompson, North Cass Water Board Manager, were present, along with their engineer, Jeff <br />Volk of Moore Engineering Inc. Mr. Volk said the water board's attorney, Sean Fredricks, of <br />Ohnstad Twichell, P.C., is out of town and unable to attend the commission meeting today. <br />
