Box 698 West Fargo, ND 58078-0698 Dear Keith: RE: Drain #10 Channel Improvements at Cass County Highway 31 The Southeast Cass Water Resource District plans to proceed with a project to replace the existing pipe in Drain #10 at Cass County Highway 31 with two 10'x 14' box culverts. The project would also include raising approximately 600 feet of Cass County Highway 31 to elevation 891. The estimated cost of the project is $670,000. The Water Resource District will submit the project to the State Water Commission for 35% cost participation, which may or may not be approved. It is our understanding that Cass County will provide 40% of the local costs involved with the project, with or without cost participation from the State Water Commission. If the State Water Commission approves funding for the project, the county share would be approximately $160,000. If funding is not approved by the State Water Commission, the county share would be approximately $240,000. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
