Commission Minutes--April21, 2003 2581 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS APRIL 21, 2003 1. MEETING TO ORDER Chairman Scott Wagner called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: John Meyer, Robyn Sorum, Darrell Vanyo, Vern Bennett and Scott Wagner. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The chairman asked Darrell Vanyo to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the order of the agenda. Motion carried. 5. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Chairman authorized to sian purchase order for radio system MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to authorize the chairman to sign the purchase order for a UHF trunking radio system for the Cass County Weed and Vector Control departments. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 6. OMITTED ASSESSMENT, Approved for Patrie Bellmore MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to add Lot 1 Block 1 Bellmore's 1st Subdivision in Warren Township, as omitted property for 2002 in the amount of $14,500, according to notice sent from the county auditor to Patrie Bellmore of Horace, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 7. PERMIT FOR FIREWORKS DISPLAY, Approved for Starr Fireworks MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the permit for a fireworks display for entertainment purposes at Starr Fireworks, 3805 52nd Avenue South, Fargo, according to application submitted by Cam Starr, on the date of May 3, 2003, beginning at 9:00 PM. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 8. SNOWMOBILE GRANT PROGRAM, Chairman authorized to sian letter of support MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to authorize the chairman to sign a letter of support to the Rural Cass Snowmobile Club for an application to the Snowmobile North Dakota Grant Program for the purpose of trail expansion into northern Cass County. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
