The 100% federal funds are designated for use by the Cass County <br />Sheriff's Office for equipment and for security barriers for the front of the <br />Courthouse. <br /> <br />The equipment will be utilized by our regional bomb team to meet hazards which <br />might face our area during these heightened alert periods. Funds are also included <br />to provide barriers to prevent vehicles from driving onto the front plaza. Our <br />office will work closely with the Commission and Ms. Johnson to provide <br />aesthetic barriers which could include concrete planters or granite slabs similar to <br />those at the Federal Court. <br /> <br />Sample Motion: <br /> <br />"Authorize the chair to sign the State Domestic Preparedness Grant <br />Agreement with the North Dakota Division of Emergency Management <br />which provides funding to the Cass County Sheriff's Office and authorize <br />the following budget adjustments: <br /> Increase Revenue 101-3503-331-55-03 by $69,210.
