Locate any problem areas by using complaints, identification by county <br /> staff, or during regular system maintenance and inspection activities. <br />2. Find the source of any illicit discharge problem. <br />3. Notify any potential offending discharger and attempt to correct the <br /> problem. <br />4. Document any actions taken and include these actions in the annual report. <br /> <br />If the Cass County Engineer's Office identifies any of the following categories of <br />non-storm water flows as significant contributors of pollutants, then Cass County <br />in cooperation with the city of Fargo will develop a plan to control and eliminate <br />the contributors to the storm water conveyance system: <br /> <br />$ Water line flushing <br />$ Landscape irrigation <br />$ Diverted stream flows <br />$ Rising groundwaters <br />$ Uncontaminated groundwater infiltration <br />$ Uncontaminated pumped groundwater <br />$ Discharges from potable water sources <br />$ Foundation drains <br />$ Air-conditioning condensation <br />$ Irrigation water <br />$ Springs <br />$ Water from crawl space pumps <br />$ Footing drains <br />$ Lawn watering <br />$ Individual residential car washing <br />$ Flows from riparian habitats and wetlands <br />$ Chlorinated water discharges <br />$ Street/highway wash water <br />$ Flows from fire-fighting activities <br /> <br />Measurable Goals: <br />$ Number of illicit discharges reported. <br />$ Number of illicit connections found. <br /> <br />Responsible Department: <br />Cass County Engineer's Office <br /> <br />Develop and Implement a Program to Prohibit and Enforce Non-Storm <br />Water Discharues <br />All of the Cass County storm water conveyances within the urbanized area lie <br />within the extraterritorial zoning authority of the city of Fargo.
