<br />.~ <br /> <br />",.- <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />,.... <br /> <br />Commission Minutes--February 18, 2003 2561 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #2003-3 <br />Fencing Payment Policy <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Cass County Highway Department has, in the course of repairing and <br />maintaining county roads and bridges, an interest in claiming the rights to easements and <br />rights-of-way; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Uniform Relocation Act allows for damages to property to be measured by <br />"cost to cure" during the acquisition of easements and rights of way; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Cass County Commission will establish a uniform payment policy for <br />relocation and replacement of fence; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Cass County Commission will establish this payment schedule based on <br />estimated contracted costs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Cass County Commission will establish that the fencing cost schedule be <br />reviewed and updated annually. <br /> <br />Now, therefore, it is hereby resolved, by a unanimous vote of the Cass County Commission <br />that this resolution determining the amounts of payments for fence removal will be effective <br />February 18, 2003. <br /> <br />Dated at Fargo, North Dakota, this 18th day of February, 2003. <br /> <br />PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, Sandhills Archers, Inc. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve a raffle permit <br />for Sandhills Archers, Inc. to be held March 1, 2003, at Sandhills Archery <br />Club in West Fargo, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />PRAIRIE PUBLIC BROADCASTING, Letter of support for demonstration proiect <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to provide a letter of <br />support to Prairie Public Broadcasting indicating compliance with Cass <br />County's Comprehensive Land Use Plan, which will be submitted with <br />their grant application for a special rural business enterprise and <br />television demonstration project. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Vehicle leases and purchase order <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to authorize the Sheriff's <br />Office to enter into a lease agreement for two vehicles for narcotic use <br />and authorize the chairman to sign a purchase order to acquire one <br />pickup for patrol use. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />
