<br />Commission Minutes--February 3, 2003 2554 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FEBRUARY 3, 2003 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Scott Wagner called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with four members present as <br />follows: Robyn Sorum, Darrell Vanyo, Vern Bennett and Scott Wagner. John Meyer was <br />absent. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF AllEGIANCE <br />The chairman asked Commissioner Vanyo to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded that the minutes of the last <br />regular meeting held January 21, 2003, and the minutes of the special <br />meeting held January 22, 2003, be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Bennett moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda with the following additions: 1) contracts with Industrial Builders, <br />Inc. and Joanne Ottmar; 2) purchase order for Highway Department bridge <br />project; 3) letter to North Dakota Department of Transportation regarding <br />Demonstration Project funding; 4) Quit Claim Deed for property in Erie; 5) <br />bid a ward for purchase 0 f new computers a nd monitors; a nd 6) bridge <br />construction in Pleasant Township. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Purchase orders for Weed and Vector Control <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Bennett moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to authorize the chairman to <br />sign a purchase order for the installation of a GPS tracking system from <br />Rust Sales of Harwood, North Dakota, for the Cass County Highway <br />Department, Weed Control, in the amount of $9,817.79. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Bennett moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to authorize the chairman to <br />sign a purchase order for two larvasonic Field Arm Mobile Wetlands Units <br />for the Highway Department, Vector Control, in the amount of $9,000.00. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Purchase order for two new vehicles <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Bennett moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to authorize the chairman to <br />sign a purchase order for the Sheriff's Department to acquire two Dodge <br />Ram pickups for the patrol division, in the amount of $41,140.00. On roll <br />call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />
