<br />Commission Minutes--July 18, 2005 2930 <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this committee should look at the possibilities of further <br />collaboration between other governmental entities and Cass County and e-government <br />services to provide more value to the county's citizens. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the local advisory study committee be made up of the <br />following members from Cass County: Chad M. Peterson, Troy Asweoe. Brian Walters, <br />Bernie Dardis, and Todd Fuchs who shall serve without compensation but who will be <br />entitled to receive actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of official <br />duties. <br /> <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, The local advisory study committee is charged with the <br />responsibility of providing the Cass County Commission with a report detailing any <br />recommendations on or before January 1 , 2006. <br /> <br />Dated at Fargo, North Dakota, this 18th day of July, 2005. <br /> <br />11. VOUCHERS, Approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve Voucher No. <br />198,994 through Voucher No. 199,424. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mrs. Sorum ended her phone call at this time. <br /> <br />12. STATE'S ATTORNEY UPDATE; EMPLOYEE ORIENTATION VIDEO; JAIL ADDITION <br />BIDS; BUILDINGS & GROUNDS UPDATE; COURT FACILITIES IMPROVEMENT <br />GRANT; BUDGET MEETINGS, Committee reports <br />Mr. Burdick discussed two attorney vacancies, one due to family medical leave and the <br />other due to a resignation. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson said the employee orientation video has been completed. She plans to <br />organize a showing of the video for employees. <br /> <br />A bid request for the jail addition will be published in the newspaper the next three weeks, <br />according to Mrs. Johnson. She said the commission will be asked to award bids in <br />September. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson hired two new staff for Buildings and Grounds. They began last week and are <br />being trained by current staff. <br /> <br />The county applied for a court facilities improvement grant to fund a remodeling project in <br />District Court. Mr. Wagner said a committee meeting was held recently and the grant was <br />denied for Cass County. <br /> <br />Heather Worden, Auditor's Office, discussed dates for budget meetings. The dates of <br />August 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th seem to work with everyone's schedules. The meetings <br />will most likely be held in the morning and last a few hours each day. <br />
