Commission Minutes--July 18, 2005 2930 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this committee should look at the possibilities of further collaboration between other governmental entities and Cass County and e-government services to provide more value to the county's citizens. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the local advisory study committee be made up of the following members from Cass County: Chad M. Peterson, Troy Asweoe. Brian Walters, Bernie Dardis, and Todd Fuchs who shall serve without compensation but who will be entitled to receive actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of official duties. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, The local advisory study committee is charged with the responsibility of providing the Cass County Commission with a report detailing any recommendations on or before January 1 , 2006. Dated at Fargo, North Dakota, this 18th day of July, 2005. 11. VOUCHERS, Approved MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve Voucher No. 198,994 through Voucher No. 199,424. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Sorum ended her phone call at this time. 12. STATE'S ATTORNEY UPDATE; EMPLOYEE ORIENTATION VIDEO; JAIL ADDITION BIDS; BUILDINGS & GROUNDS UPDATE; COURT FACILITIES IMPROVEMENT GRANT; BUDGET MEETINGS, Committee reports Mr. Burdick discussed two attorney vacancies, one due to family medical leave and the other due to a resignation. Mrs. Johnson said the employee orientation video has been completed. She plans to organize a showing of the video for employees. A bid request for the jail addition will be published in the newspaper the next three weeks, according to Mrs. Johnson. She said the commission will be asked to award bids in September. Mrs. Johnson hired two new staff for Buildings and Grounds. They began last week and are being trained by current staff. The county applied for a court facilities improvement grant to fund a remodeling project in District Court. Mr. Wagner said a committee meeting was held recently and the grant was denied for Cass County. Heather Worden, Auditor's Office, discussed dates for budget meetings. The dates of August 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th seem to work with everyone's schedules. The meetings will most likely be held in the morning and last a few hours each day.
