<br />Commission Minutes--October 21,2002 2522 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />OCTOBER 21, 2002 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: John Meyer, Donna Schneider, Scott Wagner, Robyn Sorum and Alon Wieland. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Chairman Wieland asked Robyn Sorum to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to approve the order of <br />the agenda with the following additions: 1) construction proposal for a <br />fabric-covered salt storage building; 2) review of jail operations because <br />of recent vandalism at the new jail; 3) Information Services staffing <br />request; and 4) United Way fund raiser request. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, Kindred Close-Up Club <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve a raffle <br />permit for the Kindred School Close-Up Club to be held November 19, <br />2002, at the Kindred High School in Kindred, North Dakota. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. PLAT OF SCHMIT FIRST ADDITION, Affidavit. Consent and Joinder to be siqned <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to authorize the <br />chairman and the county auditor to sign the Affidavit, Consent and <br />Joinder relating to the platting of Schmit First Addition, which was <br />originally owned by Cass County with a lease to the Diocese of Fargo. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. ELECTION CANVASSING BOARD, Alternate members appointed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to appoint Mike <br />McLeod as an alternate for County Auditor Michael Montplaisir and Scott <br />Wagner as an alternate for County Commission Chairman Alon Wieland <br />on the Cass County Canvassing Board for the general election. On roll <br />call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />
