necessary to correct the matter for the 1988 taxes, and letters will <br />be sent today to the taxing districts asking for their formal position <br />on the matter. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the Chairman <br />and the County Auditor be authorized to sign the County Deed to Roger <br />Pederson for the purchase of Lots 10 and 11, Block S, Charles A. Roberts <br />Addition to the City of Fargo. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to pay the County's <br />share of the billing from Poulson Architects on the proposed Law <br />Enforcement Center in the amount of $5,742.16, two thirds of which <br />is Cass County's share. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that Jim Berglie, <br />Director of the Community Survival Program, be authorized to hire <br />the second of three Homemaker II positions which were approved by <br />the County Social Services Board. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Correspondence was received from the County Sheriff requesting <br />permission to call for bids for four new patrol vehicles Mrs Stanton <br />moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the Sheriff be authorized to <br />advertise for bids, and the letting date be set for February 16, 1988. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />A letter from supply dealers regarding a suggested letting date <br />for the Cass County Road Department's supplies was referred to <br />Administrative Assistant Diana Murack. She was requested to contact <br />the suppliers because the date they suggested is not a regular meeting <br />date for Cass County. <br />Correspondence from the North Dakota Association of Counties <br />on maintaining detailed records on gas tax was referred to the <br />Administrative Assistant to discuss with the Sheriff's Office and <br />the County Road Department. <br />Two letters were received recommending the appointment of Wesley <br />Beilke to the Maple River Water Resource Board, and a letter was <br />received requesting consideration for appointment as County Surveyor. <br />Official notification was received from the State Health <br />Department of the Order to Establish Cass County Vector Control <br />District #6, and the members appointed to the Board are as follows: <br />Goodwin Hoff 5 year term; Walter Valovage 2 year term; and Jeannette <br />Stanton, 3 year term. It appears that the State Health Department <br />will call the first meeting. <br />Concerning liability insurance for Bonanzaville, U.S.A., it was <br />the consensus of the Commissioners present that the Cass County <br />Historical Society or Bonanzaville should be responsible for obtaining <br />and purchasing their own liability insurance. Cass County has in <br />the past and will continue to provide the property insurance. <br />
