Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to authorize the <br />Chairman to sign the Release of Easement in the southwest quarter <br />of Section 10, Barnes Township, relating to Drain No. 40, as presented <br />by the Ohnstad Twichell Law Firm. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />A letter from Sheriff Donald Rudnick regarding replacement of <br />a damaged patrol vehicle will be reviewed and placed on the agenda <br />next week. <br />Correspondence was read. <br />Regarding child support incentive payments, the State of North <br />Dakota decided to continue paying 100% of the incentive payments to <br />the local counties after a hearing was held on the matter last week <br />in Bismarck. <br />The Chairman read a letter from Mark Johnson, North Dakota <br />Association of Counties Executive Director, expressing appreciation <br />to all the Cass County Commissioners for doing a wonderful job as <br />host county for the 1987 North Dakota County Commissioners Association <br />and North Dakota Association of Counties joint convention. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to receive and file <br />a letter from L.A. Aarestad, writing as a concerned citizen regarding <br />the controversy of Judge Donald Cooke. Motion carried. <br />The Commission received a letter from the City of Fargo regarding <br />tax increment districts. A copy will be distributed to each <br />Commissioner, and the City of Fargo Finance Director Mark Thelen will <br />be asked to attend a County Commission meeting to explain the <br />situation. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to support the Cass <br />County Township Officer's Association resolution concerning soil <br />surveys. Motion carried. <br />On motion by Mr. Larson and seconded by Mrs Stanton, the meeting <br />was adjourned <br />
