REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS NOVEMBER 3, 1987 Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order with all members present as follows: Jeannette Stanton, Don Eckert, Oscar Sondrall, Ray Larson and Alon Wieland. Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. Upon the recommendation of Sheriff Don Rudnick, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the Sheriff be authorized to contract with Fargo Fence in the amount of $1,137.00 for a 6 foot high chain link fence for security purposes at the Juvenile Detention Center. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Upon a recommendation of the County's personnel policy study completed by Eide Helmeke Company, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to advertise in The Forum and through North Dakota Job Services for the position of a personnel assistant under the Director of Administrative Services at an annual salary of $15- 20,000. Deadline for receiving applications will be 4:00 P.M. on November 20, 1987, submitted to the Cass County Auditor and marked "application On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. The Chairman suggested that Administrative Assistant Diana Murack prepare the advertisement upon advice of Mr. Robert Black from Eide Helmeke. Correspondence was received from County Judge Cynthia Rothe regarding the temporary assignment of Judge Mikal Simonson, Barnes County Judge, on a case basis to Cass County Court in view of the absence of Judge Donald Cooke. Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that Judge Rothe proceed on the basis as outlined in her letter dated November 2, 1987. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to grant the application for a raffle permit for the Kindred Booster Club on November 13, 1987, at the Kindred High School. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. A letter was received from Keith F. Bedford of Bedford Bank Sales, Inc. of Minneapolis, MN, regarding the County's discussion of October 13, 1987, on the location of a dozer at Bonanzaville. Copies of the letter were distributed to each Commissioner for personal response if they wish to do so. Regarding possible installation of a trash burner at Bonanzaville, Mr. Eckert reported that he notified David Staples to delay installation until the State Fire Marshall has inspected the site.
