The motion carried on roll call vote with four members voting "Aye" and Mr. Wieland opposing. Mr. Eckert reported that he has been contacted by Iry Rustad from the Lake Agassiz Regional Council about obtaining some of the County's obsolete furnishings. Mr. Eckert will continue to work with Mr. Rustad on the items he needs for a program they are in the process of establishing. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to grant out of state travel for Social Services employee, Gilbert Engel, to Bemidji, MN on August 26, 1987. Motion carried. A public hearing was held at 10:00 A.M. before the North Dakota State Health Department as a result of a petition by the Cass County Commission to form a Cass County Vector Control District; Mr. William Delmore, Director of Environmental Enforcement, presided over the hearing and tape- recorded the testimony. There was no opposition to the proposed district. Comments were made by Mr. Goodwin Hoff, Supervising Sanitarian for the Fargo Community Health Center, by Diana Huseby and Walt Valovage from the Fargo- Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments, and by Carol Spichke, West Fargo City Commissioner. At the close of the hearing, Mr. Delmore stated that the State Health Council will review the proceedings of the public hearing at their next meeting scheduled for September 18, 1987, at which time they will deny or grant the petition.
