Administrative Assistant Scott <br />leaving the County employ September <br />in order to pursue other challenges. <br />Mr. Eckert seconded to accept the <br />County's employ through September <br />carried. <br />Mr. Krueger suggested looking at the possibility of hiring a Director of Administrative Services, as <br />mentioned in The Cass County Report and hire an Administrative Assistant to work solely with the <br />Commission. Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that Commissioners Stanton and Wieland serve on a <br />committee to replace the Administrative Assistant. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Al Spielman representing Bonanzaville, U.S.A. appeared before the Board with a suggestion that <br />the Commission consider following the guidelines of the State Historical Board wherein certain elected <br />officials of Cass County would be involved in Bonanzaville as voting members. He suggested that the <br />Commission request a change in the by -laws to allow this. <br />Mr. Larson reported on a meeting of the proposed joint law enforcement center committee, and it was <br />suggested that a committee of four or five people be appointed to review site proposals. County <br />Commissioners Ray Larson and Alon Wieland will represent the County on reviewing preliminary site <br />proposals, and a letter will be written to the Fargo Chief of Police requesting the appointment of two <br />representatives from the City of Fargo and that he and Sheriff Don Rudnick should select a member at <br />large. A committee meeting will be held at 12:Op Noon on Tuesday, August 4, 1987, in the Courthouse. <br />Correspondence was received from Mary Witt, Executive President of the Red River Valley Fair <br />Association, enclosing a copy of their 1988 budget request and asking the Commission to consider <br />increasing the Fair levy to one mill. <br />Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Larson seconded to receive and file the request for financial assistance <br />from the Red River Dance Performing Company. Motion carried. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to receive and file the Indemnity Bond on Lost Instrument <br />for Janette Gustafson, and authorize the County Auditor to issue a duplicate check. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Larson seconded to approve payment of $157.50 for membership dues to the <br />West Fargo Chamber of Commerce.
