Motion <br />carried. <br />Upon the request of Peg Winters, Victim /Witness Advocate, Mr. Larson moved <br />and Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve the continuation of the Victim /Witness <br />Assistance Program through the States Attorney's Office for the year 1988 and <br />to support a 50A matching fund. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Larson seconded that Vouchers <br />No. 75358 through No. 76214 be approved and ordered paid. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Edward Murphy appeared before the Board regarding correspondence he <br />wrote on May 25, 1987, and a survey which he conducted in regard to the County <br />Commission's smoking ban in the Courthouse cafeteria. He felt that smokers <br />are being discriminated against in so far as the use of the cafeteria is concerned, <br />and he requested that the south end be designated as a smoking area. The Chairman <br />stated that the Commission appreciates Mr. Murphy's concern and the effort he <br />has put into it, and the Commission will take his survey under advisement at <br />the time a decision is made. <br />Upon the recommendation of County Engineer Don Richards, Mr. Larson moved <br />and Mrs Stanton seconded to accept the low bids of Christianson Asphalt Products, <br />BaTech, Inc. Gohman Construction Products and Wheeler Lumber Operations for <br />Road Department supplies. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Eckert reported on updated figures for property insurance at the Red <br />River Valley Fairgrounds and Bonanzaville. The Commissioners will meet next <br />Tuesday at 8:30 A.M. for further review. <br />Administrative Assistant Scott Krueger stated that the Commission approved <br />a job description some months ago for a financial analyst position, and the <br />Commission has now received a recommendation from the Salary Review Committee <br />that the position be placed in Pay Grade 13 on the County pay scale at a salary <br />range of $19,000- $27,000 annually, that the position be placed under the <br />
