suggested that members of the Commission talk to department heads <br />about the cleaning services and to Alton Johnson, Maintenance <br />Supervisor. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to grant a Site <br />Authorization Permit for the Fargo- Moorhead Community Theatre to <br />conduct games of chance at the Flying J Travel Plaza for the period <br />of July 1, 1987 June 30, 1988. Motion carried. <br />The following bids were opened at 10:30 A.M. for remodeling the <br />Juvenile Detention Center building for the County Extension Offices <br />and Juvenile Court. The Architect's estimate on the project was <br />$39,500. <br />J. E. Krieg Sons, Inc. <br />D.C. Trautman Construction <br />$39,982.00 <br />$41,282.00 <br />Upon the recommendation of Architect Richard Moorhead, Mrs. <br />Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to award the low bid for the <br />Juvenile Detention Center remodeling to J. E Krieg Sons in the amount <br />of $39,982.00. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Concerning department head salary increases for 1987, the <br />Chairman suggested that the Commissioners informally at 8:30 A.M. <br />next Tuesday to discuss it. <br />The Chairman declared a recess for the purpose of meeting as <br />the Cass County Building Authority and upon reconvening, Mr. Larson <br />moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to approve Building Authority action <br />on Disbursement Direction #24 in the amount of $72,862.91. On roll <br />call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the County Auditor <br />be authorized to pay $666.00 to Architect Steve Poulson as the County' s <br />share of the bill for Law Enforcement Center planning. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to authorize payment <br />of $393.00 for a change in the air conditioning thermostat for certain <br />areas, particularly for the Data Processing Department. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Scott Krueger reported that the North Dakota Crime Bureau and <br />the North Dakota Tax Department are proposing to lease office space <br />from Cass County which is in the basement of the Courthouse South <br />Wing. The proposed lease has not been reviewed by the States Attorney. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to grant a Raffle <br />Permit for the Red River Valley International Appaloosa Horse Club <br />on the date of August 16, 1987, at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds. <br />Motion carried. <br />
