REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />APRIL 7, 1987 <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order with all members <br />present as follows: Jeannette Stanton, Don Eckert, Oscar Sondrall, <br />Ray Larson and Alon Wieland. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the minutes of <br />the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br />Following the recommendation of Sheriff <br />the proposed combined law enforcement center, <br />Mr. Larson seconded that Mr. Steve Polson of <br />be retained for the study at a cost of $25,000- <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Northern Improvement Company -Fargo ND <br />F -M Asphalt, Inc.- Moorhead MN <br />Border States Paving -Fargo ND <br />Johnson Construction Company -Fargo ND <br />Everetts Associates, Inc.- Jamestown ND <br />Mayo Construction Company- Cavalier ND <br />Don Rudnick regarding <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and <br />Kansas City, Missouri, <br />$30,000. On roll call <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to authorize the <br />Chairman to sign a Quit Claim Deed for the sale of abandoned right <br />of way in Section 1, Tower Township, to Burnell O. Beilke of Buffalo, <br />North Dakota, in the amount of $810.00. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Following a presentation by County Judge Cynthia Rothe regarding <br />the position of court reporter, Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton <br />seconded to authorize County Court to hire a court reporter at annual <br />salary of $22,500.00, or $1,875.00 per month, in Pay Grade 10, <br />effective April 6, 1987. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Steve Aakre, Attorney for Coordinated Living Services, along <br />with Mr. Bruce Briggs, Mr. John Thompson, and Mr. Carl Peterson, all <br />Board Members of Coordinated Living Services, appeared for the public <br />hearing on MIDA Bonds for the living center to be located in the <br />Westgate Village Addition to the City of Fargo. Cost of the housing <br />will be $700-$1,100 per month for the extended care of elderly people <br />who are able to live independently, and there may be some medical <br />services supplied by Bethany Homes and St. Luke's Hospital. <br />Following the recommendations, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert <br />seconded to authorize the Chairman to sign the RESOLUTION FOR BONDS <br />FOR COORDINATED LIVING CENTER.
