REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />MARCH 24, 1987 <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order with all members <br />present as follows: Jeannette Stanton, Don Eckert, Oscar Sondrall, <br />Ray Larson and Alon Wieland. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the minutes of <br />the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br />Sheriff Don Rudnick informed the Board that the County Jail's <br />medical expense budget for 1987 has been expended. The Board stated <br />that additional medical bills for inmates will have to be paid from <br />the County Contingency Fund. Mr. Wieland stated that counties should <br />not be expected to pay some types of medical expenses that have been <br />allowed. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to grant authorization <br />for the Red River Valley Fair Association and the Plains Entertainment <br />Company to hold a public concert on April 3, 1987, at the Schollander <br />Pavilion, Red River Valley Fairgrounds. Motion carried. <br />Upon the request of Tom Jensen, County Social Services Director, <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to adopt Resolution No. <br />1987 -5 authorizing the Cass County Social Board to destroy individual <br />and family case records in accordance with Section 4- 05 -09 -02 of the <br />North Dakota Administrative Code. Motion carried. <br />Tom Jensen asked when the County Social Services offices will <br />be moved from the Annex to the Courthouse South Wing, and <br />Administrative Assistant Scott Krueger stated that their moved is <br />planned for the end of this week. Regarding cancellation of utility <br />services at the Annex, the Chairman asked County Auditor Ordelle Brua <br />to contact the utility companies asking them to read the meters on <br />April 1, 1987, and inform them of the new owners. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to grant authorization <br />for a special permit for the Holiday Inn -Fargo to serve alcoholic <br />beverages at Bonanzaville, USA on the date of <br />May 18, 1987, during the hours of 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM only; this being <br />subject to the approval of the Board of Directors of Bonanzaville <br />and receipt of a fee of $25.00 in accordance with Section 5 -02 -01.1 <br />of the North Dakota Century Code. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Upon the recommendation of County Engineer Don Richards, Mr. <br />Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Chairman be authorized <br />to sign the agreement for Construction and Maintenance and the Right <br />of Way Certificate with the State Highway Department for Project #CBRS <br />0949(55), bridge replacement on County Road 17 between West Fargo <br />and Harwood. Motion carried. <br />
