Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to receive and file <br />the following Officer's Reports for December: Motion carried. <br />Clerk of Court 7,432.75 <br />County Court $37,351.48 <br />Register of Deeds $20,367.00 <br />Sheriff 6,857.78 <br />Veterans Service Office <br />Mr. Sondrall moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that Vouchers No. <br />71,197 through No. 71,854 be approved and ordered paid. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Administrative Assistant Scott Krueger reported that he and <br />Commissioner Ray Larson are investigating methods for lease /purchase <br />of County Road Department equipment and a communications console for <br />the Sheriff's Department. Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded <br />that Scott Krueger be authorized to negotiate with a financial <br />institution for a 5 -year lease with a buy -out option at the end of <br />three years or to negotiate a 36 -month lease, this being subject to <br />approval of the States Attorney. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Scott Krueger reported that he has had assurances from the <br />Courthouse that the Commissioners will be meeting in new chambers <br />in the Courthouse South Wing on February 3, 1987. Mr. Wieland <br />suggested meeting with members of the news media prior to that time <br />to explain the sound system in the room, as it will apply to them. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that a check in the <br />amount of $688.81 from the North Dakota Gaming Commission be placed <br />in a separate fund in the County Sheriff's Department to be used for <br />the enforcement of the State's gaming laws. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />County Auditor Ordelle Brua reported that collections for the <br />bronze County Seal to be placed on the second floor of the Courthouse <br />now total $5,239. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the Cass County <br />Commission pass a resolution of congratulations to Oscar and Vi <br />Sondrall celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on January 21, <br />1987. Motion carried. <br />On motion by Mr. Larson and seconded by Mr. Eckert, the meeting <br />was adjourned. <br />
