REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OCTOBER 7, 1986 Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order with all members present as follows: Jeannette Stanton, Don Eckert, Oscar Sondrall, Alon Wieland and Ray Larson. Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. A hearing was held on Application for Abatement and Settlement of Taxes submitted by Donald R. and Connie Moen for property in the City of West Fargo. Upon the recommendation of County Director of Tax Equalization Clarence Miller, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that Abatement #3838 for Donald and Connie Moen for property at 420 East Main Avenue be approved. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. A hearing was held on Application for Abatement and Settlement of Taxes submitted by Warren E. Dubbels for property in Stanley Township. Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve Abatement #3839 for Warren Dubbels in accordance with the recommendation of County Director of Tax Equalization Clarence Miller. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. A hearing was held on Application for Abatement and Settlement of Taxes submitted by Douglas and Kathleen Krieg for property in Reed Township. Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve Abatement #3840 for Douglas and Kathleen Krieg in accordance with the recommendation of County Director of Tax Equalization Clarence Miller. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. John Grettum from the State Auditor's Office was present regarding the recently completed Cass County Auditor for the year ending December 31, 1985. The report indicates that the County is in good financial condition, and he asked if the Commission had any questions on the recommendations listed in the report. He stated that the recommendations have been discussed with the respective department heads, but they do not receive a copy of the audit report. Mrs. Stanton suggested that the Commission review it at a future meeting. Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to grant a utility permit to Northwestern Bell Telephone to cross County Road 31 north of Fargo. Motion carried. Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to grant two utility permits to Cass County Electric Cooperative to cross County Road 16 in Section 4, Pleasant Township; and to cross County Road 9 in Section 32, Durbin Township. Motion carried.
