REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />SEPTEMBER 23, 1986 <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order with four <br />members present as follows: Jeannette Stanton, Don Eckert, Alon <br />Wieland and Ray Larson. Commissioner Oscar Sondrall was absent. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the minutes of <br />the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs Stanton seconded to appoint Mr. Sandred <br />Ostlund to the Cass County Housing Authority to complete the unexpired <br />term of the late Bert Thompson ending July 1, 1989. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />It was the consensus of the Commission that Administrative <br />Assistant Scott Krueger instruct Architects Clark, Holman and Moorhead <br />to create a change order for alley paving and curb work on the South <br />Wing construction project. <br />The Chairman requested States Attorney Robert Hoy to prepare <br />a resolution for the Board's consideration next Tuesday on a levy <br />for job development in the 1987 County budget. <br />Correspondence was received from Representative Byron L. Dorgan <br />and from Senator Mark Andrews acknowledging the County's letter and <br />views on the Community Development Block Grant program. <br />The Commission received a copy of a letter addressed to Fargo <br />Mayor Jon Lindgren from Gary G. Griffeth regarding sewer and water <br />services north of Hector Airport in Section 14, Reed Township. <br />Mrs. Stanton stated that the two Cass County Court Judges are <br />being paid the same salary, and she would like to know if they both <br />do the same amount of work. Mr. Eckert felt the Commission should <br />3 -4 years, not just the past year. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson <br />seconded that the Chairman be authorized to obtain attendance records <br />and amount of time being spent pertaining to the County Judges Motion <br />carried. <br />The Chairman declared a recess, during which time they toured <br />the 4th floor of the South Wing construction project. <br />At 10:00 A.M. the Cass County Commission reconvened in the office <br />of the County Auditor and opened two bids for the sale of the Cass <br />County Annex building.
