the unexpired terms of Dayton Byram and Joseph Moore, III, ending <br />January 1, 1988. Motion carried. Mrs. Stanton suggested that the <br />County Planner schedule an orientation meeting for new members. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the terms of <br />the County Planning Commission's advisory board expire January 1, <br />1988; at which time the appointments would be for one -year terms. <br />Motion carried. <br />The Commissioners discussed a list of proposed resolutions, <br />prepared by Administrative Assistant Scott Krueger, for the North <br />Dakota County Commissioners Convention. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. <br />Eckert seconded that Cass County submit 10 resolutions to the <br />Resolutions Committee and to the North Dakota Association of Counties <br />Executive Director. Motion carried. <br />A recommendation was received from the Cass County Salary Review <br />Committee, dated August 22, 1986, on requests by County Auditor Ordelle <br />Brua for three salary changes in her office due to an employee resigning <br />and not being replaced. The Salary Review Committee felt that the <br />request for a change in the Chief Clerk's salary is a merit increase <br />and should be done at budget time or at such time that the Commission <br />allows for merit increases. Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton <br />seconded that the recommendation of the Salary Review Committee be <br />adopted in relation to the Computer Clerk being raised from Pay Grade <br />2 to Pay Grade 3 at a salary of $1, 002.00 per month effective September <br />1, 1986; and that the Clerk's position be raised from Pay Grade 2 <br />to Pay Grade 3 at a salary of $1,079.00 per month effective September <br />1, 1986. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. <br />Eckert questioned whether there will be additional requests for merit <br />raises at budget time, and Mr. Wieland felt there would be. The <br />Commissioners were in agreement to consider merit increases at budget <br />time. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs Stanton seconded to approve the computer <br />hardware request for proposal procedures, as outlined by Data <br />Processing Manager Richard Offutt. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Mrs Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to accept the proposal <br />of Peter Geron to clean and polish all of the marble in the Cass County <br />Courthouse at a cost of $1,400.00.
