Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to grant permission <br />for out of state travel for Social Services employees Kathy Suedel <br />to attend a staffing in Duluth, MN on September 15, 1986; and for <br />Joyce Temanson to attend a staffing at Fergus Falls, MN on September <br />5, 1986. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to grant permission <br />for out of state travel for Data Processing Manager Richard Offutt <br />to attend a workshop with the County Road Department on computers <br />in St. Cloud, MN on September 8 and 9, 1986. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the Chairman be <br />authorized to sign a resolution recognizing the Fargo- Moorhead Civic <br />Opera Company as a "public- spirited organization" for the purpose <br />of conducting games of chance at two sites authorized by the Cass <br />County Commission on August 26, 1986. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve the <br />application for a raffle permit for the Norman Lutheran Church of <br />rural Kindred on the date of November 23, 1986. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br />The Commissioners received copies of a preliminary schedule dated <br />August 29, 1986, for implementation of the Data Processing Long -Range <br />Plan as prepared by Richard Offutt. <br />Mr. Larson reported that the Regional Law Enforcement Training <br />Center is about $5,000.00 short of funds necessary to pave the parking <br />lot, and he suggested that Cass County contribute the money in order <br />to complete the project this fall, with the understanding that <br />reimbursement will be made by the City of Fargo at the rate of 48% <br />and by the City of West Fargo at the rate of 19 Mr. Larson moved <br />and Mrs. Stanton seconded to authorize the County Sheriff's Department <br />to expend the sum of $5,000.00 for the purpose of blacktopping or <br />hard surfacing at the Regional Law Enforcement Training Center, with <br />the understanding that Cass County will be reimbursed by at least <br />$3,300.00 or the money wi l l be discounted off the County's contribution <br />next year. The motion carried on roll call vote with four members <br />voting "Aye Mr. Eckert voting "Pass <br />The Commission recessed for a meeting of the Cass County Building <br />Authority and upon reconvening, Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton <br />seconded to approve the Cass County Building Authority's action on <br />Change Order E -8 to Dakota Electric Construction in the amount of <br />$2,495.00 for installation of a remote fire alarm annunciator from <br />the Courthouse south wing to the County Jail. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve payment <br />of Disbursement Request #14 in the amount of $186,523.69 for the <br />Courthouse south wing construction. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />
