Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Vice Chairman <br />be authorized to sign Disbursement Direction #6 for the Courthouse <br />south wing, and approve the action of the Building Authority. On <br />roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to approve out of <br />state travel for Glenn Ellingsberg to attend a course on Introduction <br />to Emergency Management in Bozeman, Montana on March 10 -14, 1986; <br />and for Michael McTavish to attend a course on Radiological Officers <br />in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on March 10 -14, 1986. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br />Correspondence was received from Glenn Ellingsberg, County <br />Disaster Emergency Manager, regarding the flood potential for the <br />County and his preparations. <br />Scott Krueger reported on a letter he sent to Mr. Ron Sahr, who <br />appeared before the Commission last week, and Mr. Krueger verified <br />that Moorhead, Minnesota, service stations pay three cents per gallon <br />more in taxes than Fargo stations. Mr. Larson asked that the <br />Commission Minutes reflect that Mr. Sahr questioned him last week <br />about divulging wholesale prices when today, the Cass County <br />Commission publicly read bids from two gasoline wholesalers in Fargo. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr Eckert seconded to accept the proposal <br />from Custom Craft of Fargo in the amount of $2,350.00 to repair and <br />refinish furniture for the District Courtrooms and conference room. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Scott Krueger reported that contractors are not seriously <br />interested in building an addition to the garage north of the County <br />Jail without input from an architect or engineer. The County's <br />present building architect does not recommend an addition to the <br />garage. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that Dick Offutt, <br />Data Processing Manager, be authorized to purchase necessary data <br />processing equipment for the Sheriff's Office at a cost of $290.00. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Dick Offutt reported that he has been working with Eide, Helmeke <br />on the computerization study, and the County's department heads have <br />been very cooperative. <br />Several letters were received from attorneys regarding County <br />Court recording equipment, and Commissioner Larson asked that it be <br />placed on next week's agenda. Scott Krueger was instructed to ask <br />the County Court Judges to provide their input at that time. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that Vouchers No. <br />61,576 through No. 62,403 be approved and ordered paid. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />
