Upon the recommendation of the County Engineer, Mr. Eckert moved <br />and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Road Department receive and file <br />petitions for hard surfacing County Road 14 from County Road 81 to <br />the Horace Road. Motion carried. <br />County Engineer Don Richards presented the 1986 county road plan. <br />Mr. Sondrall moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Board accept <br />the road and bridge plan for 1986, as approved by the road committee. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the Cass County <br />Commission adopt a resolution of condolences to be sent to the family <br />of the late Albert Cousins, a former Cass County Engineer. Motion <br />carried. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve the <br />application for a raffle permit for the Kindred Viking Booster Club <br />to be held on March 21, 1986, at the Kindred School. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Chairman <br />be authorized to respond to a letter from Albin Olson of Fargo <br />concerning his property taxes. Motion carried. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve Change <br />Order G -2 in the amount of $1, 915.00 for concrete work in the Courthouse <br />remodeling project. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to receive and file <br />a letter from Judge Michael McGuire regarding the possibility of <br />dedicating one of the County Court's hearing rooms or courtrooms in <br />the memory of a former County Court Judge, Paul M. Paulsen. Motion <br />carried. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to receive and file <br />the correspondence from the North Dakota Insurance Reserve Fund <br />concerning noxious weed chemical overspray. Motion carried. <br />Scott Krueger, Administrative Assistant, reported that the <br />budget for cleaning services at the Juvenile Justice Center has not <br />been increased in over four years. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert <br />seconded that the Commission increase the contract with Mr. and Mrs. <br />Alton Johnson for cleaning the Juvenile Center by the sum of $600.00 <br />annually retroactive to January 1, 1986. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Scott Krueger furnished an updated list of unresolved items for <br />the Commission's consideration. Concerning the Cass County Report, <br />Mrs. Stanton suggested reviewing it at regular Commission meetings; <br />and Scott Krueger was directed to invite department heads to attend <br />the meeting individually when their respective department is being <br />discussed. <br />
