vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the County Board <br />of Commissioners adopt the Administrative Assistant Job Description <br />as presented and submitted to the Commission on this date. On roll <br />call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Correspondence was received from the Clerk of the North Dakota <br />Supreme Court asking the Commission to declare the difference between <br />the two Judges of County Court for election purposes only. Mrs. <br />Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that Resolution No. 1986 -3 be <br />approved as follows, and that a copy be sent to the Supreme Court <br />and the Cass County Court Judges: On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />WHEREAS, the Cass County Board of Commissioners has authorized, <br />pursuant to NDCC 27- 07.1 -01, two County Judges of the Cass County <br />Court; and <br />WHEREAS, the Cass County Board of Commissioners recognizes that <br />each judgeship is a separate judicial office for purposes of election; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Supreme Court of the State of North Dakota has <br />suggested that the county commissioners of any county in which two <br />or more county judges are authorized pursuant to NDCC 27- 07.1 -01 <br />consider designating each judgeship; <br />RESOLVED, that the two county judgeships of Cass County Court <br />are designated as follows: Judgeship #1, the Honorable Donald J. <br />Cooke or his successor, and Judgeship #2, the Honorable Cynthia A. <br />Rothe or her successor. <br />Adopted by the Cass County Board of Commissioners on <br />February 4, 1986. <br />The Chairman asked how the Commission can respond to comments <br />received in the Suggestion Box because there are two items that have <br />not been answered. It was suggested that a response be made through <br />the County Newsletter prepared by the Administrative Assistant. <br />One item pertains to allowing County employees to have an option <br />of working their 40 hours per week in four 10 -hour days. Mrs. Stanton <br />moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the County not change it's policy <br />of employees working five 8 -hour days per week, except in the Road <br />Department and Sheriff's Department where previously approved <br />otherwise. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Another item from the Suggestion Box pertained to employee <br />parking. Mr. Wieland stated that the County does provide free parking <br />in the Juvenile Center parking lot to the west of the Courthouse. <br />
