REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />JANUARY 28, 1986 <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order with four <br />members present, Ray Larson being absent. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the minutes <br />of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br />Upon the recommendation of the County Director of Tax <br />Equalization, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that <br />Abatements No. 3821 and No. 3823 for Charles J. McGurren be approved <br />as submitted. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Upon the recommendation of the County Director of Tax <br />Equalization, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that <br />Abatement No. 3825 for Gregory P. Frederick be approved as submitted. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Upon the recommendation of the County Director of Tax <br />Equalization, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded the <br />Abatements No. 3817, 3 818 3 819 and 3820 for Gail VanBuren be approved <br />as submitted. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Sheriff Don Rudnick presented his annual report to the <br />Commission, and they commended his department on a good report. Mrs. <br />Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to receive and file the report <br />for 1985. Motion carried. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that Sheriff Don <br />Rudnick be authorized to attend a conference on February 25 -28, 1986, <br />in Georgia. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Discussion was held on the print -outs of proposed 1986 salary <br />increases for County employees. Mrs. Stanton stated that she has <br />a problem with the fact that several employees are not receiving any <br />kind of increase. There are three such people in the Road Department, <br />and Mr. Eckert stated that County Engineer Don Richards has explained <br />the situation to these three employees and they understand that this <br />is a method to place them within the pay scale which the County has <br />adopted. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve the 1986 <br />salary schedule for the County Road Department employees, with the <br />exception of Delano Dohman, Arlene Klug, and Dale Perman who are not <br />scheduled to receive a $30.00 per month minimum raise. The motion <br />carried on roll call vote with three members voting "Aye Mr. Sondrall <br />opposing. <br />
