REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />JANUARY 21, 1986 <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all <br />members were present. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the minutes of the previous <br />meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br />Upon the recommendation of the County Auditor, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. <br />Sondrall seconded that the bids received from the Knight Printing Company on January <br />14th for election supplies be accepted. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />A report by Commissioners Eckert and Larson on response from department <br />heads regarding compensation they receive other than salary was delayed until next <br />week. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the County Social Services <br />Department be authorized to hire an additional full -time homemaker. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br />Regarding 1986 employee salary increases, Mrs. Stanton stated that the motion <br />which the Commission on October 1, 1985, was for budget purposes; and the <br />Commission has not approved final salaries. She reminded the Commissioners to <br />review the print -out supplied by Sheriff Don Rudnick, Chairman of the Salary Review <br />Committee; and she stated that the Commission has not received a list of proposed <br />salaries for County Social Services. Scott Krueger, Administrative Assistant, provided <br />a print -out of proposed salaries for County Road Department employees. The <br />Chairman requested County Engineer Don Richards to review the proposed salaries <br />individually with three of his employees who are not scheduled to receive an increase in <br />1986. The Chairman asked each Commissioner to review the salary print -outs which <br />they received, and the matter will be placed on the agenda for next Tuesday. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve the application for a <br />Raffle Permit for the Chaffee Summer Activity Fund on the date of March 8, 1986. On <br />roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to receive and file the Indemnity <br />Bond on Lost Instrument for Debbie Kay Davis, and authorize the County Auditor to <br />issue a duplicate check. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />A public hearing was held at 10:00 A.M. on the proposed implementation of a <br />two -year tax exemption on new construction in rural Cass County. <br />
