REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />SEPTEMBER 10, 1985 <br />Chairman Ray Larson called the meeting to order and upon roll <br />call, all members were present. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the minutes of <br />the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br />Sheriff Don Rudnick appeared regarding recommendations of the <br />Salary Review Committee. Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Wieland seconded <br />to accept the recommendation to change Florence Bauer's position from <br />Pay Grade 5 to Pay Grade 7. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. Sheriff Rudnick will notify Florence Bauer of this <br />action. <br />Upon the recommendation of the Salary Review Committee, Mr. <br />Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to change the pay grade for <br />the Investigator in the Sheriff's Department from Pay Grade 11 to <br />Pay Grade 12 and to change the pay grade for the Investigator in the <br />States Attorney's Office from Pay Grade 13 to Pay Grade 12. On roll <br />call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to authorize the Sheriff <br />to hire a replacement for a secretary who is no longer employed by <br />the Sheriff in the same pay grade at a salary of $1,244.00 per month. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to authorize the <br />Sheriff to hire a replacement for the Patrol Division at a salary <br />of $1,675.00 per month. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />The Commission reviewed the Sheriff's 1986 budget request since <br />he will not be available during budget meetings next week. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve the City <br />Pothole and Street Repair Agreements with the City of Tower City in <br />the amount of $570.00, with the City of Prairie Rose in the amount <br />of $224.00, and with the City of Horace in the amount of $1,156.00. <br />Motion carried unanimously. The County Auditor reported that the <br />cities of Amenia, Ayr, Briarwood and Frontier did not apply for their <br />1985 funds. <br />Mr. Terry Chambers of Frontier, North Dakota, appeared before <br />the Board regarding a drainage problem in the ditch adjacent to <br />Frontier. Don Richards, County Engineer, stated that this is not <br />a County road because County Road 6 ends at Interstate 29, and he <br />would hesitate to recommend that the County participate in the <br />clean -out. The Mayor of Frontier called the North Dakota State <br />Highway Department, and he was informed that this is not a State road. <br />Mr. Wieland stated that he will discuss this matter with the Southeast <br />Cass Water Resource District and request them to hold a meeting with <br />
