application for a raffle permit for the Bonanza Belles at the Red <br />River Valley Fairgrounds for the period of July 1 through December <br />31, 1985. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to approve payment <br />to Lightowler Johnson Associates in the amount of $455.28 for <br />consulting engineering services in the Chrisan Subdivision paving <br />project. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Steve Dewald from Lightowler Johnson Associates presented Change <br />Orders for the Chrisan and Riverdale Subdivisions paving projects <br />requesting an extension of the completion dates due to the wet <br />condition of the ditches. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve a change <br />order with F -M Asphalt extending the completion date to August 1, <br />1985 for the hot bituminous and extending the completion date to <br />September 1, 1985 for the seal coat and County right of way ditch <br />for the Chrisan Subdivision paving project. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr Sondrall seconded to approve the change <br />order with F -M Asphalt to extend the completion date September 1, <br />1985 for seal coat in the Riverdale Subdivision paving project. On <br />roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />The County Auditor reported that effective July 1st, the County <br />Commissioners annual salary could be increased to $7,500.00. Since <br />the Commission did not budget for an increase for 1985, it will be <br />discussed during the 1986 budget negotiations. <br />Mr. Eckert reported that he discussed the matter of 1985 salary <br />increases with the North Dakota State University Cooperative Extension <br />Service, and he was informed that County Agent, Duane Hauck, is not <br />considered a department head and therefore, should receive the same <br />salary increase as the four employees who were granted an increase <br />at the last Commission meeting. However, the amount of increase they <br />were granted does not comply with the average salary increase granted <br />to County employees for 1985. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to rescind the motion <br />made by the Cass County Commission on July 2, 1985, authorizing a <br />5% increase to these County Extension Office employees: Kelly Bergo, <br />Dave DeCock, Helen Liuska and Connie Weed; and that it be established <br />as a 4% salary increase to comply with the average increase for other <br />County employees, this being effective July 1, 1985. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to include County <br />Extension Agent, Duane Hauck, on the list of Extension Service <br />employees to receive a 4% salary increase, effective July 1, 1985. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Upon the recommendation of Engineer Don Richards, Mr. Wieland <br />
