V. Johnston Culvert Company <br />Bids were received for asphalt products from the following: <br />Christianson Asphalt Products, Inc. <br />F -M Asphalt, Inc. <br />Northern Improvement Company <br />One bid was received for asphalt crack sealing from Pavement <br />Maintenance, Inc. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to receive and refer <br />the above bids to the County Road Department for tabulation and <br />recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Upon the request of Steve Grindberg, County Road Superintendent, <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to advertise for bids in <br />conjunction with Clay County for a paint striper, subject to approval <br />of the States Attorney. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Steve Grindberg requested permission to remove the bridge north <br />of Harwood which closed due to its poor condition. He stated that <br />it would be easier to remove it while there is ice on the river. <br />The Commissioners suggested that Mr. Eckert and a representative from <br />the delegation that appeared before the Commission meet at the site <br />with the engineering firm who is preparing the second opinion on the <br />bridge. Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to authorize the <br />removal of the bridge contingent upon the report of the second engineer <br />if it corroborates the first engineer's report. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to approve the <br />Application for a Raffle Permit for the Red River Valley Horseless <br />Carriage Club on the date of May 19, 1985, at the Red River Valley <br />
