Motion carried. <br />! <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />NOVEMBER 6. 1984 <br /> <br />call. all members were present. <br />of the previous meeting be approved <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that Vouchers No. 47.589 through No. 48.352 and Revenue <br />ISharing Vouchers No. 426 through 430 be approved and ordered paid. On roll call vote. the motion <br />:carried unanimously. <br /> <br />! Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to authorize Mr. Sondrall to serve in place of Mrs. <br />IStanton on the Canvassing Board that will be meeting on Friday. November 9. 1984. at 1:30 P.M. Motion <br />,carried. <br />I <br />I On motion by Mr. Larson and seconded by Mr. Eckert. the meeting was adjourned. <br />I <br />, <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br /> <br />There was no report from the Road Department. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />NOVEMBER 13. 1984 <br /> <br />Chairman Stanton called the meeting to order and upon roll call. all members were present. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as <br />written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Upon the recommendati on of the County Road Superi ntendent. Mr. Sondra 11 moved and Mr. Larson <br />seconded that the Chairman and the Auditor be authorized to sign the Resolution awarding the low bid of <br />Wanzek Construction. Inc. in the amount of $202.715.60 for bridge replacement projects between Sections <br />17-18. Rochester Township. on County Road 1 and also between Sections 8-9, Maple River Township. On <br />roll call vote. the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on events of the General Election held on November 6. 1984. regarding <br />mechanical difficulties with the vote counting machines. length of time involved for election workers <br />and the public not being well enough informed on use of the paper ballots. Mrs. Stanton felt that the <br />County needs to be concerned with the vote counti ng machi ne whi ch broke down duri ng the counti ng <br />process. The Audi tor reported that offi ci al s from the Ameri can Informati on Systems, where the County <br />purchased the present voting system, will be coming to Cass County in the near future to check on this <br />mach.ine~ The Commissioners asked to be included in those discussions. <br /> <br />Scott Krueger. Admini strati ve Assi stant. reported that the schedul e of the County Court Judges <br />does not permit them to attend the Commission meeting this morning, but Judge Donald Cooke supplied <br />i nformati on on County Court Reporter Transcri pts. Mrs. Stanton stated that it appears that 30% of the <br />transcri pts were prepared duri ng the County's 40hour work week. The matter wi 11 be di scussed further <br />next Tuesday. <br /> <br />Discussion was held with the County Sheriff's Department on advertising for bids for the purchase <br />of four new patrol cars. Commissioner Larson will work with the Sheriff's Department and the States <br />Attorney on the proper bid process to be followed. <br /> <br />Concerning County office hours during the Christmas holiday. it was suggested that the County <br />offices be closed all day on Monday. December 24th. but remain open all day on Monday. December 31st. <br />Scott Krueger will discuss this idea with the department heads and report back to the Commission next <br />week. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the Cass County Commission not meet during the week <br />of December 24th. and that the Regular Meeting for the next week be held on Wednesday, January 2. 1985. <br />On roll call vote. the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Larson seconded to grant approval to the Chaffee Summer Activity Club to <br />have Bingo at the Chaffee School on November 30, 1984. and to have a Raffle at the Chaffee School on <br />December 20. 1984.
