Crooks <br />Cass County Extension <br />Cass County Extension <br />Lloyd Zaun <br /> <br />611 <br /> <br />(Payroll Warrant) <br /> <br />The Commission received an A-95 Review Form from the Metropolitan Council of <br />Governments for a project of the North Dakota Rural Development Corporation to provide <br />comprehensive employment training for migrant and seasonal workers. Mr. Larson moved <br />and Mrs. Stanton seconded to grant an "Unfavorable Review" due to the large amount <br />of money being requested for this project. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />\;manimously. <br /> <br />The County Auditor presented copies of the State Audit prepared by the <br />State Auditor's Office for Cass County. The audit will be discussed further at a <br />later date. <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Larson and seconded by Mrs. Stanton, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />JANUARY 11, 198~ <br /> <br />Chairman Eckert called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members <br />were present. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting <br />be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Steve Grindberg, County Road Superintendent, requested the signature of the <br />Chairman and the Auditor on a Supplementary Agreement for Construction Engineering <br />Services for the Federal Aid Secondary Project 2.5 miles east of Tower City, <br />said agreement being between the State Highway Department, Cass County and the <br />Houston Engineering Company. Mr. Grindberg stated that it was necessary to provide <br />additional engineering services on this project, and the State Highway Department <br />has agreed to pay $11,792.00 for this 1979 flood related project rather than the <br />original project cost of $6,500.00. Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded <br />that the Chairman and the Auditor be authorized to sign the agreement which will <br />be at no cost to Cass County. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Grindberg reported on some price quotations he received for a new pick-up <br />for the County Road Department. Mr. Larson asked him to come back with some price <br />quotations on a regular-sized diesel pick-up. <br /> <br />Lee Sprague from the Moore Engineering Company presented a plat of Riverwood 3rd <br />Subdivision located in Fargo Township. At a meeting of the Cass County Planning Commission <br />this morning, the plat was approved subject to the water facilities being private wells <br />or else hooked up to the City of Fargo; subject to the subdivision being linked to the <br />Fargo sewer system; subject to being annexed to the Fargo City limits in order that the <br />City of Fargo would issue the building permits; and subject to 10th Street in Fargo <br />being moved over to line up with an existing road in the subdivision and changing an <br />approach in order to alleviate traffic problems. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson <br />seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the above plat with the above <br />stipulations as agreed upon by the Cass County Planning Commission. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br />
