<br />Commission Minutes--September 3,2002 2501 <br /> <br />21. BUDGET MEETING; JAIL UPDATE; JOINT DISPATCH; EAST CENTRAL <br />r- COMMISSIONERS MEETING; WEST FEST PARADE, Committee reports <br />The next Cass County Commission budget meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, <br />September 11. 2002, at 3:30 PM in the Commission Room, Cass County Courthouse. <br /> <br />Commissioners again talked about the success of the new jail dedication ceremony, the VIP <br />overnight stay, and the public support and positive comments of those attending the <br />Saturday tours of the facility. Ms. Johnson said there are 15-18 very negligible items to be <br />completed by the contractors at the new jail. A security guard is now stationed at the front <br />door in the public iobby area, and professional cleaning services in the public areas began <br />this week. <br /> <br />Ms. Johnson said she will begin meeting quarterly with the newly formed joint dispatch <br />center board of directors, and she was invited to attend their meeting tomorrow. <br /> <br />The East Central Commissioners Association meets at 9:30 AM on September 9. 2002, at <br />the Hope American Legion Club, Hope, North Dakota. <br /> <br />Mrs. Sorum showed some interest in participating in the West Fest Parade in West Fargo on <br />September 21, 2002. Mr. Wieiand will be in the parade as a legislative candidate. <br /> <br />22. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />.- <br /> <br />letter from Les Korgel, North Dakota Association of Counties President, congratulating <br />Cass County on the dedication of the new jail facility on August 28, 2002; <br />Lake Agassiz Regional Council amendment to the Program Distribution Statement; <br />copy of notice of permit violation by North Land Rollofl Corporation of West Fargo and <br />revocation of said permit to transport or collect waste in North Dakota; <br />update from Safety Kleen Systems on emergency coordinator information; <br />North Dakota Department of Transportation information on Transportation Enhancement <br />Project (TEP) applications and notice of County Road Advisors' Conference in Rapid <br />City on October 23 and 24, 2002; <br />letter from The Arthur Companies, Inc. regarding load limits on County Road #4 from ND <br />Highway 38 east to County Road 3 and into the City of Ayr. <br /> <br />23.
