Mr. Eckert furnished further information which was submitted to him by the Buffalo Community clubs ,Club to comply with this section of the State gambling regulations. Mr. Eckert moved . and Mr. Larson seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the information supplied iby the Buffalo Community Club to complete the~r application for a gambling permit. IOn roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Cynthia Rothe, States Attorney, was present and suggested that the Commission supply lia questionnaire stating the information needed for organizations such as the Buffalo , Community Club when applying for a State gambling permit. The questionnaire could be I filled out by the club and returned to the County Board for their review and signature. iMr. Larson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the County charge a fee of $25.00 :to organizations applying for gambling permits where further information is required iby the State, this to exclude the Site Authorization Permits. On roll call vote, I the motion carried unanimously. I I Arch. rev. officel Architect Richard Moorhead reviewed the plans for the office space in the space I Courthouse and the new addition. Disc. on selling I Discussion was held on having an appraisal made of the Cass County Annex and checking Cass Co. Annex I into possibly selling the building in the next two to five years. The Chairman asked IMr. Larson to investigate closing up the north entrance door of the Annex to make it more I energy efficient. i The Chairman ~alled for nominations for the appointment of a States Attorney i to replace Cynthia Rothe, who resigned to become the Magistrate and Referee to the !County Court. Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to n6minate Robert Hoy. I Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the nominations cease and that ithe Board proceed to vote. On roll call vote, Mr. Eckert, Mr. Hendrickson and Mrs. Wold ivoted for Robert Hoy; and Mr. Larson and Mrs. Stanton voted for Craig Richie. iThe Chairman announced that Mr. Robert Hoy will be the new States Attorney, effective iDecember 15, 1981. i i Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that'Vouchers No. 20262 through !No. 20983 and Revenue Sharing Vouchers No.. 279 through No. 290 be approved and ordered !paid. REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS DECEMBE~ 16, 1981 (WEDNESDAY) Chairman Hendrickson called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members were present. Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. r to! I ! ! This meeting is the first to be held in the new Commission Room in the Courthouse Addition. The Chairman congratulated Architect Richard Moorhead on the job his firm did on the Courthouse project. Mr. Moorhead proposed three requests by the County Judge for suggested changes in the County Court area on the second floor of the Courthouse Addition. He was quoted a pri~e of $2,755.00 to make a toilet facility where there is a janitor's closet; $685.00 to revise the seating area for the witness and the court reporter in the Courtroom; and $518.00 to provide storage space for the court reporter in the Courtroom. All of the matters wili be taken under advisement. Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Wold seconded to purchase eight writing boards at a cost of $375.00 from Twin City Construction Company for use by the ~ews media when covering court trials, this being requested by Chet Gebert from The Forum. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Larson seco~ded to approve the following beer and liquor license applications received to date for the year 1982: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
