<br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF CASS COUNTY, NORTH DAKOTA <br /> <br />-=-....;'=:~,,~..;~~~~;=;~;-~i}IJ~~2..~~~.~sit~~?:~=~~~~!~~_~~.,~~=~__~:.~.'-_,:::~._.._,=-~=", <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />DECEMBER 2, 1981 (WEDNESDAY) <br /> <br />Vice Chairman Patricia Wold called the meeting to order and four members <br />, were present, Mr. Hendrickson being absent. <br /> <br />An Invocation was given by Mrs. Wold. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the minutes of the previous <br />meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Applications were received from the following for the position of Cass County <br />States Attorney: Bruce Britton, Robert Roy, Edward Murphy, DeLayne Nassif, Craig Richie <br />and Larry Stern. The Auditor will call the President of the Cass County Bar Association <br />requesting them to review the applicants and send a letter of recommendation to each <br />Commissioner before next Tuesday, as a decision will be made on Wednesday, December 9th, <br />on the appointment. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to receive, file and refer to the" <br />States Attorney the petition signed by 13 residents of the Chrisan Second Subdivision <br />in Stanley Township requesting to be withdrawn from the Forest River Subdivision <br />paving project for the reason that they feel they cannot economically afford the project. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The States Attorney presented copies of a letter she has written to the <br />North Dakota Attorney General's Office requesting an opinion as to whether the three <br />Cass County Commissioners who were elected in 1980 will have to run for re-election <br />in 1982. <br /> <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the County Auditor be authorized <br />to pay the following estimates to the contractors on the Courthouse Addition: <br />Meinecke-Johnson Company in the amount. of $17,889.00; Rick's Electric, Inc. in the <br />amount of $10,354.50; and Twin City Construction Company in the amount of $29,852.65. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried ununimously. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the County Auditor be authorized <br />to pay the estimate to the Architect in the amount of $2,030.00 on the Courthouse Addition. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the County Auditor be authorized <br />to pay the bill to Architects Clark, Holman and Moorhead in the amount of $450.00 <br />for the feasibility study on the Cass County Annex, which was presented to the Board <br />on November 25, 1981. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that all County Offices be closed <br />at 12:00 Noon on December 24th and at 3:00 P.M. on December 31, 1981. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Larson and seconded by Mrs. Stanton, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />DECEMBER 9, 1981 <br /> <br />Chairman Hendrickson called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members <br />were present. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting <br />ibe approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign <br />the Plat of Metzger's Subdivision in Section 36, Barnes Township. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign <br />the Plat of Collins' 1st Subdivision in the SE~ of Section 27, Barnes Township. <br />.On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />County Sanitarian Richard Brumfield was present and Mr. Hendrickson requested him <br />to see what can be done to speed up the process on getting some land cleaned up <br />that was owned by Balthauser and Moyer Livestock Company in the Riverside City limits. <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Larson seconded to approve the following beer and liquor <br />license applications received to date for the year 1982: On roll call vote, the motion <br />.carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Patsy A.
