Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized <br />lto borrow up to $1,000,000.00 to meet the County's operating expenses until the <br />!tax money comes in. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />: Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to receive and file the letter of <br />(October 9, 1981, from Wayne T. Anderson, Attorney for the Cass County Farm Bureau, <br />Co.:stating their views on the regional airport authority's proposed mill levy. On roll <br />Icall vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />i <br /> <br />Committee reports were given. <br /> <br />On motion by Mrs. Stanton and seconded by Mr. Eckert, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />OCTOBER 21, 1981 <br /> <br />Chairman Hendrickson called the meeting to order and four members were present, <br /> <br />iMrs. Wold being absent. <br />! <br /> <br />i Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting <br /> <br />Ibe approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />Forest River i Upon the recommendation of the project engineer for the Forest River paving project, <br />paving prOj--bidsIMrs. Stanton mov7d ~nd Mr. ~arson seconded to re~eive and refer t~e bids as oP7n7d <br />to be delayed at the last Commlsslon meetlng to the County Audltor for safekeeplng of all orlglnal <br />until April 1, i bonds and proposals until the date of April 1, 1982, as agreed upon by the low bidder, <br />1982 I the Northern Improvement Company, at which time the award may be made if proper funding <br />I for the project is available by that date. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />I unanimously. -- <br /> <br />Site Auth. for i Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to grant site authorization to the <br />Buffalo Community' Buffalo Community Club for the purpose of holding games of chance at the Bison Steakhouse <br />Club granted at and Lounge for the period of November 15, 1981 to November 15, 1982. On roll call <br />Bison Steakhse. vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Site Auth. for <br />St. Benedict <br />Church granted <br />for Nov. 13th <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to grant site authorization to the <br />St. Benedict Church to hold games of chance on the date of November 13, 1981, <br />at St. Benedict's Church in Wild Rice, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Letter to be A letter was received from Attorney Bradley Burgum of Casselton stating that the <br />written to cassel~1 Casselton Community Medical Center is applying for a.FmHA Community Development Loan <br />ton Comm. Medical for an addition to the Cassel ton Clinic. Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded <br />Center re: addn. i that a letter be written to the Casselton Community Medical Center, Inc. stating that <br />to clinic I ',the proposed addition does not confll.'ct with any development plans of the County. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />I <br /> <br />Bids recd. for <br />Sheriff's cars <br />,and one 4-wheel <br />'drive vehicle <br /> <br />Hearing on <br />appraisal of <br />tax-forfeited <br />property <br /> <br />One bid was received from Hall GMC for a four-wheel drive vehicle for the <br />! Cass County Sheriff's Department. Bids were received from the following for four <br />patrol cars and for one vehicle to be used for investigations for the Sheriff's Department: <br /> <br />Selland Motors & Co. <br />Hustad & Sons, Inc. <br />Tim Corwin Buick <br />W. W. Wallwork, Inc. <br />COrwin ChrYsler Plym~utht Inc. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to refer the above bids to the <br />Sheriff's Department for evaluation and a report back to the Board next Wednesday. <br />On roll call vote, the mtoion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />A public hearing was held at 10:30 A.M. on the appraisal of tax-forfeited <br />property. Several persons appeared to inquire whether parcels of land could be sold <br />for less than the amount of taxes assessed against them, but the Board's policy <br />is that the land shall not be sold for less than the amount of taxes owing. <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Larson and seconded by Mrs. Stanton, the meeting was adjourned. <br />
