Also upon the request of the Cass County Bar Association, Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the new larger Courtroom in the Courthouse Addition be designated with a name plate honoring former District Court Judge Roy K. Redetzke in recognition of his years of service to Cass County. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Wold moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the County Auditor be authorized publish a notice in the newspaper that anyone doing any road ditch or field burning the area of a wooden bridge must first notify their local fire department. roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. On motion by Mr. Larson and seconded by Mrs. Wold, the meeting was adjourned. REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SEPTEMBER 30, 1981 Chairman Hendrickson called the meeting to order and all members were present. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. Mrs. Wold moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company be authorized to bury cable in Sections 28-33, Harmony Township. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Upon the recommendation of the County Road Superintendent, Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the County Road Department be authorized to repair the bridge in Sections 10-11, Pleasant Township, at an estimated cost of $3,500.00 with the understanding that the three-ton load limit on this bridge will not be increased. On roll cail vote, the motion carried unanimously. Discussion continued from last week on the road leading to the Woods Elevator in Leonard Township. Mr. Eckert moved that the County take over the maintenaDce on the one-half mile of road leading to the Woods Elevator. Mrs. Stanton seconded the motion for further discussion. Mr. Larson asked the County Road Superintendent to determine how many similar situations exist in the County where there is no County road leading to a town. The motion and second were withdrawn, and Mr. Grindberg will report back to the Board. Upon the recommendation of the County Road Superintendent, Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Wold seconded to accept the low bid of General Diesel and Equipment Company for a new Champion Motor Grader in the amount of $80,685.00. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Co. to borrow Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the County borrow money to pay for money to pay for the purchase of the Champion Motor Grader, and then put the money that was set aside Motor Grader & for the purchase of the motor grader into a special Road Department Equipment Fund invest ~he equip. to earn,a highe7 rate o~ interest on. the current money market. Angie Peda handed out a booklet on Economic Opportunity Programs prepared i by the Federal Aid Coordinator Office, and she asked the Commission to review it I and comment to the State EOC or the Federal Aid Coordinator. i Disc. with Grand Forks officials on Co. Health Services Mr. James Earl, Grand Forks County Commissioner, and Mr. Ken Schultz, Grand Forks I City Sanitarian, appeared before the Board to get information on combining,their city i and county health departments on the same order as Cass County has done whereby they I purchases services from the City of Fargo. Mr. Goodwin Hoff, Fargo Sanitarian, I was present and provided some input on the subject. I Site Auth. grant~ ed for Erie I American Legion I I Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the Board grant site authorization to DOkken-Schroeder Post 223 for the purpose of holding games of chance at the Erie American Legion Club in Erie, North Dakota, for the period of the present time through June 30, 1982. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Raffle permit i Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the Hunter Jaycees be granted granted to Hunte~ a permit to hold a raffle on the date of October 30, 1981, at Herb Johnson's Barn, Jaycees I Arhtur, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Dance Permit i Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the Board approve the application granted to : for a dance permit for the Hunter Jaycees to hold a dance at Herb Johnson's Barn, Hunter Jaycees I Arthur, North Dakota, on the date of October 30, 1981.
