<br />Also upon the request of the Cass County Bar Association, Mr. Larson moved and
<br />Mrs. Wold seconded that the new larger Courtroom in the Courthouse Addition be designated
<br />with a name plate honoring former District Court Judge Roy K. Redetzke in recognition
<br />of his years of service to Cass County. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.

<br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the County Auditor be authorized
<br />publish a notice in the newspaper that anyone doing any road ditch or field burning
<br />the area of a wooden bridge must first notify their local fire department.

<br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

<br />Chairman Hendrickson called the meeting to order and all members were present.
<br />
<br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting
<br />be approved as written. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Northwestern Bell Telephone
<br />Company be authorized to bury cable in Sections 28-33, Harmony Township. On roll call
<br />vote, the motion carried unanimously.
<br />
<br />Upon the recommendation of the County Road Superintendent, Mr. Eckert moved and
<br />Mrs. Stanton seconded that the County Road Department be authorized to repair the
<br />bridge in Sections 10-11, Pleasant Township, at an estimated cost of $3,500.00
<br />with the understanding that the three-ton load limit on this bridge will not be
<br />increased. On roll cail vote, the motion carried unanimously.

<br />Discussion continued from last week on the road leading to the Woods Elevator
<br />in Leonard Township. Mr. Eckert moved that the County take over the maintenaDce on the
<br />one-half mile of road leading to the Woods Elevator. Mrs. Stanton seconded the motion
<br />for further discussion. Mr. Larson asked the County Road Superintendent to determine
<br />how many similar situations exist in the County where there is no County road leading
<br />to a town. The motion and second were withdrawn, and Mr. Grindberg will report back
<br />to the Board.

<br />Upon the recommendation of the County Road Superintendent, Mr. Larson moved and
<br />Mrs. Wold seconded to accept the low bid of General Diesel and Equipment Company
<br />for a new Champion Motor Grader in the amount of $80,685.00. On roll call vote,
<br />the motion carried unanimously.

<br />Co. to borrow Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the County borrow money to pay for
<br />money to pay for the purchase of the Champion Motor Grader, and then put the money that was set aside
<br />Motor Grader & for the purchase of the motor grader into a special Road Department Equipment Fund

<br />Report by CAA i Representatives of the Southeastern North Dakota Community Action Agency appeared
<br />representatives : before the Board with an explanation of the programs they offer to help people in the
<br />on their programs: community. Angie Peda handed out a booklet on Economic Opportunity Programs prepared
<br />i by the Federal Aid Coordinator Office, and she asked the Commission to review it
<br />I and comment to the State EOC or the Federal Aid Coordinator.

<br />Mr. James Earl, Grand Forks County Commissioner, and Mr. Ken Schultz, Grand Forks
<br />I City Sanitarian, appeared before the Board to get information on combining,their city
<br />i and county health departments on the same order as Cass County has done whereby they
<br />I purchases services from the City of Fargo. Mr. Goodwin Hoff, Fargo Sanitarian,
<br />I was present and provided some input on the subject.

<br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the Board grant site authorization
<br />to DOkken-Schroeder Post 223 for the purpose of holding games of chance at the
<br />Erie American Legion Club in Erie, North Dakota, for the period of the present time
<br />through June 30, 1982. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.

<br />Raffle permit i Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the Hunter Jaycees be granted
<br />granted to Hunte~ a permit to hold a raffle on the date of October 30, 1981, at Herb Johnson's Barn,
<br />Jaycees I Arhtur, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.

<br />Dance Permit i Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the Board approve the application
<br />granted to : for a dance permit for the Hunter Jaycees to hold a dance at Herb Johnson's Barn,
<br />Hunter Jaycees I Arthur, North Dakota, on the date of October 30, 1981. On roll call vote, the motion
<br />I carried unanimously.
