<br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that Vouchers No. 11271 through
<br />No. 11973 and Revenue Sharing Vouchers No. 232 and 233 be approved and ordered paid.
<br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
<br />
<br />Upon the recommendation of Sheriff Don Rudnick, Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson
<br />seconded that the rate for housing Federal prisoners in the Cass County Jail be increased
<br />to $30.00 per day per prisoner, effective January l, 1981. On roll call vote, the motion
<br />carried unanimously.
<br />
<br />Discussion continued on the request of County Judge Donald Cooke for a probation
<br />'officer for the Cass County Court. Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that
<br />Judge Cooke be authorized to hire Centre, Inc. to take on the probation program in full
<br />at their location for a total of $l3,OOO.00 per year. On roll call vote, the motion
<br />carried unanimouSly.

<br />On motion by Mrs. Wold and seconded by Mr. Hendrickson, the meeting was adjourned.

<br />Chairman Stanton called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members
<br />Mere present.
<br />
<br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the minutes of the previous
<br />meeting be approved as written. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Discussion was again held on the township road ditch which was washed out
<br />.in Amenia Township. Mr. Sondrall stated that he received a call from Lloyd Knight,
<br />representing the Amenia Township Board, and he requested the County to send a letter
<br />of support to the Farmers Home Administration if they approve of the Soil Conservation
<br />Service plan for correcting the situation at a cost of $60,000.00. Mr. Satrom felt that
<br />the problem could be corrected without spending this amount of money by fiiling in the
<br />area with grubbed trees or rocks. Ralph Cameron from the Rush River Water Management
<br />'District was present and stated that his Board did not promise any money toward the
<br />project but agreed to assist in getting the money. The Board requested the Auditor to
<br />contact Amenia Township and Mr. Ordean Jagobson from the Soil Conservation Service,
<br />and the engineer for the project to appear before the Board on December l7th.
<br />
<br />Upon the recommendation of the County Director of Tax Equalization, Mr. Hendrickson
<br />moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the Application for Abatement and Settlement of Taxes
<br />.for the Estate of Paul R. Schanno for 1979 be approved as submitted. On roll call vote,
<br />the motion carried unanimously.

<br />Upon the recommendation of the County Director of Tax Equalization, Mr. Sondrall moved
<br />and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the Abatement for 1979 for Anton & Louise Herding
<br />be approved as submitted. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
<br />
<br />Mr. Satrom moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the Abatement for Charles R' Townsend
<br />be granted in accordance with the recommendation of the Director of Tax Equalization
<br />whereby the assessment for the year 1978 be adjusted on a prorated basis. On roll call
<br />vote, the motion carried unanimously.
<br />
<br />Upon the recommendation of the County Director of Tax Equalization, Mr. Satrom
<br />moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the Abatement for Peter Januscheitis for the years
<br />1978 and 1979 be approved as submitted. On roll call v6te, the motion carried unanimously.
<br />
<br />Upon the recommendation of the County Director of Tax Equalization, Mrs. Wold moved
<br />and Mr. Satrom seconded that the Abatement for George H. Nesemeier, Jr. for the years
<br />1978 and 1979 be approved as submitted. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
<br />
<br />Upon the recommendation of the County Director of Tax Equalization, Mr. Hendrickson
<br />moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the Abatement for 1979 for Harold Newman and
<br />James Newman be denied for the reason that the property is zoned as industrial lots
<br />and is assessed on that basis. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimouSly.
<br />
<br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the following applications for a
<br />1981 Beer and Liquor License be approved: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimouSly.
